Character export addon

Skip typing your characters in by hand. The WoW Forever Builds addon reads your character in game and gives you one line to paste onMy characters.

Coming soonThe addon will be available to download here once we have tested it on the WoW Forever client. Until then you can add your characters by hand.

Install

1. Close the game.
2. Unzip the download into your AddOns folder, so you get Interface\AddOns\WoWForeverBuilds\WoWForeverBuilds.toc. The AddOns folder is inside your game folder, for example World of Warcraft\_classic_era_\Interface\AddOns.
3. Start the game. If the addon shows as out of date on the character screen, tick Load out of date AddOns.

Export a character

1. Log in with the character and type /wfb in chat.
2. The text in the window is already selected: press Ctrl+C.
3. On My characters, choose Import from addon, paste and check the form before saving.

Importing a character you already registered (same name and realm) updates it instead of adding a copy. Your notes, main and public settings are kept.

What it exports

• name, realm, class, race, faction and level;
• talent points spent in each tree, used to pick your spec (a tie leaves the spec for you to choose);
• primary professions (recognised on English game clients);
• whether the character is on a Hardcore realm. PvP and Roleplaying realms can't be detected, so set those yourself.

The addon never sends anything over the internet: nothing leaves your computer until you paste the line and save it. It only runs when you type/wfb.
